The track was revealed by a package left at the Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville, Iowa. The package contained a note and a pink seashell marked "2 of 13". The note has the tracks name written on it and was marked January 25, 2023. On January 23, 2023, Fall Out Boy officially announced "Heartbreak Feels So Good" would be released on January 25, 2023.
A remix by Dillon Francis was released on March 15, 2024.[1]
